HALO is a reverb built for the long end.
A reverb for the long end. Sixty seconds that keep their colour, a freeze that truly holds, and rooms fitted to places somebody actually measured.
For people who work with very long tails: ambient, drone, sound design, post. It is not a convolution reverb. For the fine structure of a real room there is CAIRN.
Every field is the control

A decay you can read. The level writer shows the real wet signal against the line you set. Drag the ring: 0.2 to 60 seconds.

A body that breathes. Size, density and where the reverb sits on headphones — drag the light for azimuth and height.

Eight bands on the wet signal only. The curve is computed from the filters the reverb runs. Your dry signal is never touched.

Exactly 1.0. The freeze neither sinks nor swells. Thirty-six presets, twenty-four fitted to measured places — and room for eight of your own.
Thirty-six to start with, and room for yours
Click the name in the header and the list drops over the device. Thirty-six presets come with HALO. Anything you build yourself is saved under a name you type, in a file beside the device — so an update cannot overwrite it, and you can take it to the next computer.
Sixty seconds that stay clean
Controls, presets and installation are in the four-page manual.
Manual (PDF)A serial, not a leash
The serial is a calculation over your email address, not a key on a server — so nothing has to be switched on for the device to run, and nothing can be switched off. The full rule, including why prices here never drop after launch, is on one page.
Pricing policyOne chord, three rooms
Same source, same level. Switch between dry and processed while it plays.
It costs an email address
Confirm the address once, the link arrives, and you can be gone again with one click. Live 10.1 or newer with Max for Live — the device is saved with Max 8, which Live 10, 11 and 12 all ship with. Keep HALO.amxd and halo_ui.js in the same folder.
Want to say thanks? Entirely voluntary, and it changes nothing about the device you get. It pays for the next one.
Leave a tipNo audio data is included — the room presets are fitted numbers. Measurements: OpenAIR, Audiolab, University of York, CC BY 4.0. The Max patch is open: take it apart.
